First, We Listen

At this preliminary meeting, you, Peter, and Chuck will get together at your home to talk through what you have in mind for your home remodel or home renovation. To deliver results that best suit your needs, we first need to understand what you’re looking for. We accept projects both large and small, whether that’s a new bathroom, kitchen, deck, whole home remodel, etc. This is an opportunity to hear your remodeling plans in detail, while at the same time walking off your home to explore the space and determine the best ways to make use of it to accomplish what you want.

We will offer our insights, ask you questions, discuss any budgetary considerations, and offer a cost estimate of your home remodeling project. Provided that both parties feel good about this meeting, we will move forward with your home remodeling plans. You will need to check with your bank to make sure the financial estimate given is within your budget, interview the recommended architects and designers, and have an engineer conduct a structural analysis of your home.

Plans Are Drawn

If the scope of the project is extensive, at this stage we will recommend bringing in an architect or designer to meet you at your home to help map out the home remodel floor plan. Once these plans are nearly complete, you and the architect/designer will meet with us to review, revise, and finalize this floor plan.

You Select the Details

The next step is to finalize choices such as paint colors, flooring, finishes, tiles, and product selections. Usually, clients find this stage enjoyable. You have carte blanche over all selections. We will give you catalogs and a selection of recommended showrooms to visit, to show you the latest styles and the scope of what’s available. Then we step back and let you go wild. We are always just a phone call away, whenever you want a second opinion or to bounce an idea off someone.

After you’ve made your choices, we will regroup to discuss them and ensure that they align with your budget. Your product selections can be tweaked as needed and then calculated into the final price. We are now ready to contact your bank with the now-finished home remodeling plans, specifications, cost breakdown, and contract.

We Execute the Plan

At this stage, your plan is set and you are free to step back while we put it into motion. You can relax with peace of mind as our expert team of craftsmen take the ideas you put forth for your home remodeling project and turn them into a reality. Your continued input is welcome. However, your involvement at this point is fully optional. Home remodeling will begin once all the building materials have arrived on site. We will keep you informed as the stages of construction progress. The Village Builder prides ourselves on staying on schedule and in order to allow you to plan your life, you will be provided with a detailed timeline, with clear dates for all the major construction events.
